A Sangue is a very old Italian variety. The tree is very vigorous and the figs are absolutely unique. They are a bit acidic with some sweetness with a dark berry taste as well. The interior is almost purple on the later crop. It is not known if this fig is common. Most say it is but I am not sure. So before buying keep that in mind.
