Description
You are purchasing one (1) Figue de Solliès fig AOP tree, approximately 2 feet tall, well rooted, and shipped bare root for safe and efficient transit.
Figue de Solliès is a historic French fig variety originating from Solliès-Pont in Provence, France, and is internationally recognized for its exceptional quality. It is one of the few figs in the world associated with AOP (Appellation d’Origine Protégée) status, a designation that protects the original regional trees and traditional production standards.
👉 Important genetics note:
The fig trees offered here are genetically traced back to the traditional Figue de Solliès cultivar, originating from the same protected lineage used in the AOP-designated orchards. While AOP status applies only to figs grown and produced within the protected region of France, the genetics of this variety are preserved worldwide through vegetative propagation, allowing growers outside the region to cultivate the same historic fig type.
This variety is widely regarded as a premium dessert fig, prized for its complex flavor, balanced sweetness, and exceptional fresh-eating quality.
