This is a very well-known French variety from ancient times. It makes two crops both very early and prolific. The skin is a velvet gray color with a soft feel and orange to red interior color. They are figgy and sweet with a very classic fig flavor. I like this variety for its earliness and productivity. Does not require pollination. Grise st. Jean.
