Description

This is a fig I discovered growing at a Buddhist church in a hedge of wheelers dwarf. I believe it may be a seedling that they continued to let grow. What sets this fig apart besides the flavor is the red eye. The fig stands out a mile away. Bright yellow to green figs withy a really cool red eye.

I talked to Montserrat Pons about this fig before. He believes it is possibly the variety Ull De Perdiu. Well, this means Partridge Eye in Spanish. He said it is called Yeux de Perdrix in France. It is my assumption it is a class of figs with this feature. We also have a variety called Chico Strawberry here in the US with this type of eye but it is a totally different fig. It does not require pollination. It is mid season here with a sealed eye and amazing sweet flavor. It is my neighbors favorite fig.
