Figo Preto or “Black Fig” in Portugal . Mid season fig here in Fresno and extremely productive. It’s in its own class in terms of flavor. You know you are eating a special fig that was brought here many years ago. This variety was rescued in Point Loma Ca. Rich Berry flavor and juicy. Thick skin keeps it from spoiling.. This is a very good fig for warm areas. Does not require pollination. One of the best figs of all.
