Faraona (Nera) is a very ancient Italian variety. It is extremely rare and almost extinct. It has a ruffled leaf shape and is attractive . The red color was very unusual but could be an anomaly. Common fig bearing two crops. My tree is very young but the first few figs were very juicy and sweet.
