Zaffiro is a fantastic variety from Italy. It is a brown sugar honey Fig and is very prolific. It has a long ripening season here in Fresno. The figs are of medium size with a velvet purple to blue skin. The inside is a brown sugar color. They get better as the weather cools down here in Fresno. Does not require pollination. This is definitely a must have for anybody that likes the sweet brown sugar honey flavor.
